Apple Approves App With Retina Graphics Ahead Of Possible WWDC Announcement

Apple has approved an update to the app FolderWatch, which lists “Retina Graphics” as one of the new editions.

Because of recent rumours regarding Apple including ultra high res displays in upcoming Macs, this is being seen as a sign that Apple may unveil Macs with HiDPI “retina” displays at WWDC.

However, the staff who review submissions and updates would be unlikely to be briefed on upcoming hardware changes to Apple’s hardware. It could simply be the developer anticipating the upcoming hardware and proactively including the high res graphics in the FolderWatch app.

We’ll know this Monday, where Apple may unveil update MacBook Pros and other models with retina displays.
